The parade starts out with the Grand Marshall of the event and his entourage. The weather for the 2000 Gold Nuggets Day celebration and parade was just beautiful, sunny and perfect.

Here is the 2000 Elk of the Year from the Paradise chapter of the Elks. The Elks club is very popular in the Paradise area. They have a clubhouse on Clark Road that hosts many events and activities for the area.
